Let's start from the beginning. Both my partner and I started playing online poker when we were 18 years old. We can both honestly say that we have never been in the red since then. I haven't played on every online poker site, but pretty much all of the sites you will see advertised on my pages will be my favorites. Again, pretty much all of the sites you will see offer many different ways to deposit money. Depositing money is the first step in online poker. It's just like going to a casino and laying your money down on the table. The dealer will then give you chips equalling the amount you layed down. In this case, you can deposit money and use that money in several different forms of poker. Depositing instructions will be provided to you by the site; I am not going to provide them because they will be different according to each site.

Now, once you get past the depositing step, you will be ready to play. I advise you to look around before you throw your money around just anywhere. Online poker offers a great variety of poker to play. You can play Texas Hold-Em, Omaha, or 7 Card Stud (Hi-Low versions of Omaha and 7 Card Stud are usually offered). Also, the limits will vary to a great degree. Whether you want to play for low stakes or high stakes, online poker will suit your needs. Lastly, online poker offers tables and tournaments, so choose your fancy.

Now, I am going to dabble in a little bit more detail about the variety of the poker site. I will provide detailed information about how Texas Hold-Em (The type of Poker we will be talking about) and how it works from the table to the tournament, from limit to no limit. So strap in and listen or move onto the fourth lesson if you are already aware of how to play; the fourth lesson will begin strategy.

To learn more about how Texas Hold-Em tables and tournaments work, move onto lesson three by clicking the link below or on the sidebar.
