The bottom card is another important aspect of your home poker game. Its use is to cover the bottom card on the deck. The dealer is not allowed to show the bottom card to any of the players in the game. If the card is shown, the players will know that the card is not going to reach play and can count it out when trying to get a read on other players or figure out if they are going to hit their draw. These bottom cards are normally plastic and oddly colored, however they come in a variety of different types.
